The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions processed by thebedsheduk.com & thebedsheduk.co.uk ("the Conditions"). All orders made are subject to the acceptance of these Conditions, and deemed to be accepted by you when placing your order. These Conditions do not affect your statutory rights. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice and supersede all previous editions.

B. Privacy
At thebedsheduk.com & thebedsheduk.co.uk, we fully respect your privacy, we will only ask you the relevant details to complete your order. This does include an email address & telephone number so we can contact you only regarding your order and allows us to send you an order confirmation. We will never pass your data on to third parties except where necessary to fulfil your order. We fully abide by the Data Protection Act 2002.
We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
C. Payment
We will treat each order for goods as an offer from you to purchase the goods subject to these Conditions. You are deemed to accept the Conditions when you place an order for goods with us. Our contract with you will only begin when we confirm acceptance of your offer to purchase goods from us. An order will not take place (and we will not be deemed to have accepted your order) until we have validated and confirmed your payment. In the event of any pricing error occurring within our website, within a written or verbal quotation, or contained within any fax or e-mail correspondence however received, all incomplete orders shall be deemed void.
We accept all major credit cards & cheques - If you wish to pay via a bacs transfer, please contact 01782 265575 for full details. In addition we accept official purchase orders from Local Authorities, Government, Education, Financial, Healthcare, & other official corporate bodies at our sole discretion.
All cheques & bacs payments must be cleared before any goods can be dispatched (please allow up-to 7 working days for clearance of cheques). However, no goods will be dispatched until we are in receipt of the original order.
Many of the goods we sell are of a technical nature and whilst we endeavour to publish as much information as is practical about the goods, the descriptions of the goods are as set out on the website. All drawings, photographs, descriptive matter, colour, specifications and advertising on our website are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate idea of the goods. They will not form part of the contract between us.
Ownership of the goods shall not pass to you until we have received payment in full (cleared funds).
Your order for goods is subject to stock availability. If we do not supply goods to you for any reason we will inform you of the situation and will not charge you for those goods, and will refund any money already paid by you for these goods. We are not liable for any financial loss incurred by you relating to interest payments, or loss of earnings, or similar gains you would have received on monies paid to us in lieu of any unfulfilled order.
All prices quoted or displayed are in UK pounds sterling and shall be the price, inclusive of VAT & delivery, set out on the website at the time your order is placed. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in, or the imposition of any new taxes or duties. If due to an error or omission the price published for the goods on our website is wrong we have the right to terminate an order provided the goods have not been dispatched. We will try to ensure that all prices displayed on our website are accurate, but should an error occur we would inform you of the correct price and give you an opportunity to cancel the order.
Payment for goods must be made in accordance with our purchase procedure as set out on our website. We can accept no responsibility if any details you provide us with that are incorrect or if any order is held up as a result of incorrect or unsubstantiated details. Payments made using a credit card are authorised using a secure credit card facility.
D. Credit Card Payments
We reserve the right to refuse to supply to individuals whose credentials cannot be verified, We will use discretion in these matters and will not authorize payment or supply unless we are completely satisfied that the order is legitimate.
We can only make deliveries to the address that your chosen method ofpayment is registered to. In some instances this may affect your chosen delivery date, in order to help us process these security checks efficiently please call us on 01782 265353 before 2pm on the day you place your order, or by 2pm the following working day if you placed your order after 2pm or at a weekend.
E. Deliveries
Our deliveries are made by a National carrier - Nightfrieght UK unless otherwise stated. All deliveries will be made to your doorstep (should you live in a block of flats then delivery will be made to the first door of the building). We shall not be held responsible should you dispose of your current mattress before our delivery.
Delivery of the goods shall be made to UK mainland addresses only and must be signed for. The address will be that registered with your payment card issuer, unless you request otherwise and we agree to such a request (at our sole discretion).
We undertake that for all online or telephone orders received by 2pm Monday to Friday, (excluding Bank holidays), delivery will take place on the date agreed when you placed your order. (Saturday deliveries are available at extra cost) All deliveries are made between 7am and 8pm (in some remote areas we cannot guarantee an actual time slot). However, we shall not be liable for any loss, which may be suffered by you caused by any delay of delivery unless caused by our negligence.
In the unlikely event of us not being able to fulfil your order, due to the item being out of stock or other unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you by telephone or email. You will be offered an alternative product or the option to delay delivery until the next available delivery date for the item required. We will keep you fully informed, you retain the right to cancel the order and receive a full refund of any monies paid.
We will deliver to business addresses at your request but stress that if instructed to do so, the card used in the transaction must be officially registered to that address. Also you are agreeing that anyone situated at your business address has your written authority to accept goods on your behalf. We will accept no responsibility for goods once they have been delivered to and signed for at the requested address.
F. Replacements and Refunds
If an item is found to be damaged or faulty on receipt, please contact us by phone or email at the earliest convenience. You can choose either to receive a replacement item or to receive a refund. You have 24-48 hours from receipt of goods to report damage. Or we will deem damage to be caused after delivery.
Where goods are found to be faulty we will send you a replacement and arrange the return of the faulty item. We will meet all delivery and return costs. Returned goods must be adequately packed.
Where the decision is made to return faulty goods, we will refund the total cost of the order, as soon as we receive the item back. Returned faulty goods must be adequately packed.
We will provide a refund if the product you have selected is found to be unsuitable within 14 working days following delivery, providing the product is returned in it's original box, in 'as new' condition, unmarked and all plastic packaging un-opened. Please make sure you are happy with your purchase before removing from the plastic packaging, we regret that we cannot accept mattresses back once they have been opened. An additional fee of £30.00 will be made for collection (or refusal of delivery) of goods deemed unsuitable but not faulty. Once you have received your Order Confirmation email with your unique reference number, should you wish to cancel you order a £25.00 cancellation fee will apply. We cannot accept returns on any vacuum packed mattresses once they have been opened. Pillows can only be returned by recorded delivery at the customer's expense, in its original packaging.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that goods are confirmed to be undamaged and correct in terms of size, colour and any other permutation before signing as received, should goods be received and signed and later reported as damaged or incorrect it is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the goods are returned in all original packaging in as new condition otherwise the buyer will void the return policy. In the case of divans and mattresses these items should be checked before opening the packaging as once opened we are unable to accept returns, unless it is a clear manufacturing fault.
Refunds for Goods not yet dispatched: In situations where the item has not yet been sent, we will refund your payment straight away.
To cancel an order - If this is within 2 days of your delivery booking, you will be charged £50 - this covers a cost from the delivery company to cancel the order and an administration cost from us which will be passed on from our suppliers.
G. Guarantee
All new goods are sold with the benefit of a minimum 12-month manufacturer's guarantee - Some mattresses have a 5+ year warranty. Full warranty details are available with your product, or from our sales team.
If these goods are deemed tampered with in any way your warranty will become void and you will become responsible for the costs of replacement and return shipping. If no manufacturing fault is found you will be responsible for the costs of replacement and return shipping. Wherever possible we will respond to your individual circumstances. The Bed Shed will not be liable for any transit damage that may occur on any product you have returned to us for replacement. We strongly suggest that you make sure you have used sufficient packaging to protect your product and insure against damage before returning any product for replacement. For advice on how to pack your goods safely before return please contact our sales team.
The warranty does not cover, accidental damage, modifications to, failure(s) not due to manufacturing defect(s), when any warranty void sticker has been tampered with, failure to comply with the original manufacturer's conditions of intended use, any accessories supplied. The Bed Shed cannot be held responsible for any costs arising from unauthorised repairs to equipment during the warranty period. Only The Bed Shed or the manufacturer or their authorised service agents can carry out any warranty work. Any unauthorised repairs or repair attempts will void the warranty.
Please note that all mattress sizes quoted are approximate. There is a degree of tolerance (roughly 2") on all mattresses.
In relation to new goods the company will accept liability for defective goods only to the extent that the company is entitled to make a claim under the manufacturer's or publishers warranty and obtain from the manufacturer or publisher a refund, credit, repair or replacement of the defective goods.

I. Complaints
Complaints can be made via email, telephone, or post.
Complaints will be acknowledged within 1 working day
Your complaint will be dealt with fairly and confidentially, and we will keep you fully informed of progress.
We will deal with your complaint as quickly as possible and hope to have it rectified within a maximum of 5 working days.
J. Custom Made Beds
When purchasing a custom made bed the customer agrees to the size and total height of their bed upon payment. It is made clear on the product page and will be re-stated here. The total height of your bed will be the height of the base PLUS the height of the mattress. Please take this into account when selecting your bed height.
Please note that some of the names of the products may differ from what you have ordered online although the product will be the exact same product as you have ordered.
